This pleasant walk is in 2 sections…first half will start from the railway station car park in Dunlop. From there we will walk through Commoncraig woods,up to Dunlop Manor and back along the Wee Glen.
Second half takes us through the idyllic village of Dunlop which is lined with pretty cottages, past Dunlop town hall and C of S Kirk.Soon after leaving the village we will enter the Millenium woods and follow various trails and paths through wooded areas and along quiet country lanes.
Mucky in places and potentially slippy.Be careful of tree roots and overhanging branches. Need to negotiate a style and a wooden fence in the first half..both of which are adequate.
Poles and gaiters advised.
Some minor road walking required…and
Dunlop village has some very narrow pavements…caution required due to same.
