Please check Ferry times prior to booking as they are subject to change at short notice. The ferry currently timetabled to depart Troon at 9.15am arrives at Brodick Pier 10.30am and the walk will begin when walkers have disembarked.
The walk is on tracks and a minor road.
From the pier, we turn left up Lamlash Road to the signpost for Corrygills where we turn off onto a cart track. We will go up the path to Dun Fionn to the trig point and the centre of the old fort. From here we will walk west along the ridge enjoying fine views on both sides of Brodick Bay, Lamlash Bay, Holy Isle and the towering Goatfell. The path then drops to forest track, eventually making its way back to Brodick for approx. 4.30pm.
I would suggest that you purchase tickets for the 5.20 pm ferry back to Troon.
This walk has been created as part of Cunninghame Rambler's weekend in Arran especially to provide a walk for day-trippers. This means that those staying as part of the walking weekend and those walking for the day will have a chance to meet up on this walk.
The walk will begin and end at the ferry terminal in Brodick.
Refreshments and toilets on the ferry.
