Overview

This is an 8 mile circular walk starting from the Greenock Cut Visitor Centre. Please note that access to the Centre is via the Old Largs Road ONLY as Dunrod Road off the A78 is closed due to a landslip. There are newly refurbished toilets open from 9am until 4pm at the Centre. We will start the walk at 10am with an open hillside climb to the top of Hillside Hill and then onto Dunrod HIll which gives stunning views over the firth of Clyde before we drop down and join the well established path of the Greenock Cut. Conditions in the hills are likely to be wet and muddy underfoot. Lunch will be at New Yetts Reservoir No 7 followed by a shorter climb into the hillside above and then back to the Cut to return to the car park for approximately 2.30pm.
