Overview

Park on roadside at Dunsden Green. Nearest Post Code: RG4 9PJ. The walk follows the ‘Wilfred Owen Trail’ celebrating one of the finest WW1 poets, for a gentle stroll round the village and surrounding countryside passing various buildings that were associated with the poet Wilfred Owen\\\'s stay in the parish pre 1914. We see the Village Hall where he helped run the school, on past the former vicarage he lived with the vicar in luxury surrounded by the poverty of the parishioners to the church where his parents & sister are buried. Owen was killed in 1918.
