The walk includes a variety of scenery from the autumn colours of the forest to the open vistas of the heathland (although the heather will probably have lost the summer colour), and sea views from the cliff path. We have seen deer on previous walks across the heath, but such sightings are rare. Hopefully, if the weather is good, we will be able to use the picnic tables outside the National Trust cafe on the heath and time will be allowed to buy refreshments (not obligatory!).
Toilets are available at the start/end point and at the National Trust cafe.
