These southernmost hills of the Pennines offer a grand panorama across the north Midlands. This area of estates, hamlets and farmland was used by George Eliot in her Victorian novel Adam Bede; paths wind through a bucolic country very little changed.
Mainly moderate undulating countryside with lovely views all round with a short steep descent from one of the Weaver Hills - well worth the journey.
There will be a short drinks stop and a slightly longer lunch stop - so remember to bring a drink and a packed lunch.
This is a joint walk with Walsall Ramblers and Sandwell Ramblers.
Personal medication, e.g. asthma inhalers and angina sprays, must be carried by the walkers themselves. All walkers should carry an ICE card or a contact number in case of emergency.
