Overview

We meet at the church in Elton.

Our route of 7miles will take us across fields to via Hopping Farm to Middleton by Youlgrave. Climbing out of the village we join a quiet lane towards Mount Pleasant Farm, where we can (weather permitting) enjoy lovely views across the valley.  We return to Elton via Gratton Grange.

 If necessary, toilets can be made available at the start and end of the walk.

The walk is undulating throughout, with a few well-maintained squeeze and bench type styles. There will the usual breaks for coffee and picnic lunch.

Ramblers members from other Ramblers groups are welcome to join us. 

Please wear walking boots and warm waterproof clothing.  Please bring plenty to eat and drink.  Please carry a completed ICE card (go to our website, click Walks, then click What to Bring).

Elton roadside on Well St next to Church. Please park considerately. We meet at the church in Elton. There should be sufficient parking nearby, with more at the far end of East End by the sports field.
