A circular walk from Tattenham Corner Teahut car park across the Downs' race track and round the Langley Vale Memorial Wood before heading back to the tea hut. Once across the Downs, we will follow the Memorial Trail via the carved benches, Jutland Wood, the Community Orchard (a coffee stop), the Regiment of Trees and the Cherry Avenue, before returning across the race track and back to the tea hut.
The Memorial Wood is undulating with some short steepish rises, which can be slippery if there has been recent rain.
There will be time to read the memorial information boards and for quiet reflection at the various memorial stations we pass on the walk.
Refreshments - there is the tea hut in the car park
Car Parking - there is car parking around the tea hut and an "overflow" on the far side of the race course. Those needing to use the overflow will need to walk back to the tea hut to start the walk.
Dogs - the area of the Memorial Walk requires dogs to be on leads.
Toilets - There are NO public toilets on the Downs or around the Memorial Walk.
