We are the Sandwell Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

On leaving the car park, we begin the climb through Ercall Wood to the summit of The Ercall, with good views across to it's big sister, The Wrekin. On descending, we follow The Shropshire Way to explore this important geological site before passing the reservoir and taking one of the lesser walked paths across the foothill of The Wrekin.
We then continue to Smalley Hill Nature Reserve in the village of New Works, an area of grasslands and ponds and once an important mining settlement in the 18th century. Our return takes us through Limekiln Wood.
Some paths are likely to be muddy.
Ercall Wood free car park, 37,Ercall Lane,Telford Take the turning for Ercall Lane, off Holyhead Road, the car park is on the left immediately after crossing the M54 and before the road becomes one-way.
