We are the East Yorkshire & Derwent Area Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This attractive hilly 6.5 mile walk starts from Fridaythorpe opposite the pond.It is a walk we haven't done recently and is well worth the experience if you can attend. Starting from the pond,we walk by Glebe Farm,and head to the outer edge of Holm Dale.From here we arrive at Wold House Farm, reporting to the farm foreman,see photo if we are late.( Just joking).Pluckham Farm is our next point of call.From here good views of Pluckham Dale can be seen.Gills Farm is our next visit.Going by Ings Plantation we head to West Dale, and then back at Fridaythorpe.
🏕 This walk offers memorable views of the Yorkshire Wolds
🥾 Hilly in parts, but is also flat in places Fridaythorpe is the highest Village in the Yorkshire Wolds. The walk offers many scenic views, please see photos below. Walking poles are advised if you have any. At the time of the recce 29/1/25 no cattle were encountered along the route.

New walkers are always welcome to join the group for a few walks before becoming members of The Ramblers. Please ask the walk leader for an In case of Emergency Card.(ICE Card) if you don't have one before we set off.
🚘 Please park on one side of the road only (furthest from the pond) to allow farm vehicles to pass. See "Useful info" Parking Considerations on the Website.
☕ Seaways cafe is nearby but please do not park here for the duration of the walk.It is open from 7am - 4pm on Monday's .
