Overview

This scenic walk begins on the grass verge on York Lane that leads out of Huggate 

Walking towards Horsedale,we go to Wold House Farm Road.We then go down Great Plantation, and  Ferndale Dale. We then climb up to Nettle Dale,round Jessops Plantation. We the head to Huggate Sheepwalk, Cross Pocklington Lane and follow the Wolds Way back to the cars

This walk is full of ups and downs, with some steep hill's, but offers good views of the surrounding area.

At the time of the recce, cattle gathered near a gate,and for this reason not considered suitable for dogs.

As usual, suitable footwear is advised for the walk.

Arriving at Huggate, go down Pocklington Lane. After a short while take a right turn down York Lane. Staying on York Lane we park the cars near the track that leads to Glebe Farm.
