The 6.5 mile morning walk will take us to Ugley Green and then on to the Aubrey Buxton Nature Reserve, before we return to Manuden. The reserve was once part of there garden of Norman House and consist of wood land and a number of linked artificial pools. Aubrey Buxton, after whom the reserve is named, was a Director of Anglia Television who created the long running nature documentary Survival, and was a co-founder of the World Wild Life Fund.
The 3.5 mile afternoon walk is to Chatter End via Seven Farm. We return to Manuden by following the Harcamlow Way.
Both walks are likely to be muddy in places
The morning walk should finish at about 12.30am. The afternoon walk will start at 13.15am and finish by 14.45am. There is a pub, the Yew Tree, in Manuden for those seeking refreshments after the morning walk.
