This easy circular walk follows the western edge of Fleet Pond before heading south along Pond Tail to the Forest of Eversley and returning by Pyestock Hill. The walk includes Fleet pond, woodland, heathland and a section of the Basingstoke Canal. There will be a picnic stop half way round. We have the option to stop at The Foresters pub after lunch.
This walk is mostly flat with one or two gentle gradients. Please bring a packed lunch and drink as usual.
Meet at Fleet Railway Station (south car park) for a 10:30 start. By train from Reading, take the 09:52 Bournemouth service and change at Basingstoke for the 10:16 Waterloo service, which stops at Fleet at 10:26. (Return trains leave at 8 minutes and 50 minutes past each hour.) There is a good sized car park at the station and parking is £3.50 for the day.
