Overview

A lovely summer walk along the quieter stretches of the Formby coastline & through the Ravenmeols Nature Reserve.

From our (free roadside) parking spot, we will walk the mile to the coast along the public footpath, and then along the beach to Lighthouse Road.  From there we can have a coffee break (maybe ice-creams), & toilet stop.

We will then proceed on a path through the sand dunes towards the Lost Resort & back to our starting point.

Note that although the walk is 5.7 miles, walking on the sand dune paths can be hard work, so it may feel more like 6.5 miles.
