This is, provisionally, an out-and-back Y-shaped route sticking largely to forestry roads due to current storm damage affecting many of the forest paths. Forest and Land Scotland has closed Jocks' Road and the riverside paths within the forest, except for the route to Corrie Fee which is open (at time of planning). Furthest points are Corrie Fee and /or the top of the forest using the Jock's Road diversion on the opposite bank. Can become a loop if paths are cleared by summer.
Can be muddy in places. Slow, steady ascent of 200 metres to Corrie Fee; this path becomes rougher after end of forestry road. Toilets at Ranger Centre in Car Park. This walk, more suitable for slower members, is planned to accompany a separate high level walk over one or both of the two Munros Mayar and Driesh, with another leader.
