We are Herts Weekend Walkers, HWW for Short . We are aimed at people aged in their 40s, 50s & 60s who are normally working during the week and can usually only find time to get outside and enjoy a walk at the weekend.

Overview

This Semi-urban walk takes us around Harpenden using the green corridors and Open spaces.

As we loop round we will travel along the disused railway lines and the across the Rothamsted research estate which will give us a chance to see the bluebells in Knolt Wood.

At the end of the wall there will be a opportunity for refreshments at the Queens Head.

Parking is available along Queens Road, St Johns Road and Southdown Road These as restricted road but the restrictions only apply Monday to Friday.

There is no need to pre-book or contact the leader in advance. If already a Ramblers member, please just bring your Ramblers card (or membership details on the app) to help speed up the Ramblers register before we start the walk.
