This walk has been cancelled

The weather forecasts for tomorrow seem to suggest that the worst of the storm will be around 10am just as the walk starts. In addition to the wind and rain, the ground is already very wet and the heavy rain which is forecast could make a few sections of the walk very tricky with a big risk of people slipping.

Overview

The walk starts from Hartington and follows field paths to Hartington Bridge where the river goes under the road. We cross the road and take a path to Lower Hurst Farm. We take the right fork and make our way to Hulme End. We pass through the village, turn right along the road and make our way across the river and onwards towards Townend before turning left to Brund then right across fields to Sheen. We walk through the village, passing the church then we go left opposite Manor Farm to take the first path on the right towards Sheen Hill. We turn right through High Sheen Farm to the road. Turning right again we follow the road to Harris Close where the path by the farm leads us back to the start.
