Overview

This is a pleasant walk that meanders along part of the South Downs Way.  Initial climb to reach the main ridge of the South Downs heading towards Ditchling Beacon.

Toilets available at lunch.  Please bring a packed lunch. Pub stop at the end.  Hassocks station is approximately a 20 minute walk from the pub. 

Travel: Take the 9.46 from London Victoria, (9.53 Clapham Junction, 10.04 East Croydon), arriving Hassocks at 10.43.

Buy a return to Hassocks.
