Overview

The walk takes in an area of the Mendips mined for lead since Roman times. This walk has uphill sections (steep in one place) and stretches of downhill walking on uneven stony ground, so poles are advisable. There is a variety of terrain: footpaths, fields and short sections of road/lane.
