Hello Everyone
Continuing our local theme we're back on Cannock Chase this Sunday courtesy of walk leaders Barry & Pam and starting from our regular meeting point in Hednesford. From here we head out on a northerly loop taking in Pye Green, Tackeroo campsite, Brindley Valley, and the Tolkien Trail before returning to base. Terrain on this Moderate Grade walk is undulating, mostly on good paths & tracks, although expect a bit of mud in places. There's just one stile.
A few new faces are enjoying these local events so why not come along too? You're most welcome to do so. Better still if you could let us know a day or two beforehand please as we always introduce our newcomers at the start. Thank you.

Directions. The start is located at Anglesey Street rail station car park, Hednesford, midway down the street. Satnav ideal if you have it. Please note the routes given below avoid the nasty local speed bumps.
From the South: Pick up the A460, direction Rugeley, at the Churchbridge islands complex on the A5 south of Cannock. Follow the A460 signage for 2.5 miles, over various Islands until you reach Hilltop, Hednesford, and the island T-junction immediately in front of the Esso station. Turn left here, still A460, downhill for 500 yards, over the lights, and onto the next set of lights 200 yards later.
Turn left here for Hednesford town centre. Tesco is now in front of you. Left at the small island, then left again at the T-junction 150 yards later, then Immediately right into Anglesey Street where the official rail station car park is situated a further 200 yards along on your right hand side. ⚠️Ignore the earlier car park entrance on the same side immediately after the Poundstrecher store. From the North: Pick up the A51 then the A460 for Rugeley town centre. At the Globe island take the A460 direction Cannock & Hednesford. Continue for 4 miles, though the Chase, to the first set of lights on the outskirts of Hednesford where straight over. At the next lights 0.5 mile take the right hand lane for Hednesford town centre and turn right. Tesco is now in front of you, then as above.
Anglesey Street rail station car park, Hednesford, Staffordshire adjacent to Hednesford Ex-servicemen's Club midway down the street, not the Poundstrecher car park nearer to the town centre. ⚠️Height restriction. No charges.
