This walk starts in the picturesque town of Hebden Bridge, ascending steeply at the start onto the hilltops, and skirting the local high point of High Brown Knoll, where views are fabulous on a clear day.
Following the walk, enjoy a meal or drink in one of Hebden's many popular cafes and pubs.
As ever, Pennine weather can be changeable and hill-walking can be muddy even in dry weather, so walkers are advised to dress appropriately for the forecast conditions. Bring a packed lunch and drink to enjoy outdoors in good company.
This walk crosses some farmland and sensitive moorland, where lambing and the arrival of ground-nesting birds will be in progress so dogs must be kept on a lead and under close control.
Pay-and-display parking in Hebden Bridge at weekends can be under pressure, but it is well-served by public transport by bus and train.
