Or at the Gladhouse Reservoir Hill Walkers Car Park (EH23 4TF) 17miles from Currie.
Estimated finishing time is 2pm.
Walk Description
The walk is mainly on farm tracks and woodland, where the path is uneven, and with some road walking and across farmland.
We leave the little rough car park and walk through Moorfoot Farm and head towards the Moorfoot Hills stopping at the ruins of 16th Century Hirendean Castle. From here there are views across to the Pentlands and beyond. We then retrace our steps back to Moorfoot Farm and the walk takes us on the East side of the reservoir until we cross the dam and arrive at Gladhouse. From there we closely follow the West side of the reservoir through woodland back to the car park.
