Leisurely walk, 6 miles, ascent 210ft. (Previously C)
Circular walk starting at the car park at The Hirsel, Coldstream. There is a £2:50 charge per car for parking, this can be paid by card or cash. Toilets available at The Hirsel at start of walk.
From the car park at The Hirsel we go up past Hirsel Lake and into the woods to Dunglass Bridge. From the bridge we follow Leet Water down towards Coldstream. At Coldstream we follow along the river Tweed to Fireburnmill then through Dundock wood back to Hirsel Lake.
A fairly easy walk with mostly good paths but there are some short ascents. Some areas with exposed tree roots and muddy and slippery areas if it’s been raining. Walking poles maybe helpful.
Meet at MIBC at 9:30 am for car sharing or meet at The Hirsel car park (TD12 4LW) 10:30 am.
Coming from Edinburgh, drive through Coldstream and the turnoff to The Hirsel is signposted on the right a minute or two after Coldstream.
