Overview

Starting at Forthside car park near Vue Cinema, a 0.25 mile walk from Stirling Railway Station, taking a route to Cambuskenneth Abbey, on through fields along the River Forth then to Wallace’s Monument. Return to the car park is via Stirling Castle and the King's Knot. Mainly tarmac walking with fields, farm tracks and rough woodland paths, (may be muddy) and there may be cattle or sheep around. Direct train dep Linlithgow at 8.57 hrs arr Stirling at 9.22 hrs (£6.89 return with a Railcard, if driving £4 parking charge). Please register for this walk – Leader will meet the group at the start.
