We are the Sheffield Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk will start at Hope station and go via Brough and Shatton up to Old Lees Farm to take a path above the Hope Valley up to Ollerton Hall. From here we will go to Hathersage via Highlow Hall if we are making good time or via Callow Farm and Mount Pleasant if we need to shorten the walk to arrive in Hathersage in time for Christmas Lunch.
Much of the walk is on good paths, tracks and minor roads, but there are muddy patches.
The 09.14 train arrives in Hope at 09.39. Those coming in cars can park in Hathersage and pick up the train to Hope at 09.32.
This is a short walk preceding our Christmas lunch but everyone is welcome to join us even if not attending the lunch.
