We are the Greater Manchester & High Peak Area Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Meeting Place and Time: meet at 9.20 at Manchester Piccadilly station for the 9.31 train to Hope, or at Hope station for those travelling direct.
Start of Walk - at Hope (Derbyshire) station after the arrival of the 09.31 from Manchester Piccadilly due 10.24
Note: walkers are advised to check one of the rail websites such as nationalrail or trainline close to the departure time in case of late changes to the running of the train.
Train ticket: return to Hathersage (from Strines if you have a GM concessionary travel card)
Estimated finish time at Hathersage: by 4.30pm (to be confirmed). There is a train due at 16.32 from Hathersage back to Manchester. Trains run hourly at 32 mins past the hour.
Car Parking - there is parking at both Hope and Hathersage stations - drivers would need to make the short train journey between them at either the start or end of the day.

Walking boots and clothes (waterproof anorak in wet weather conditions) are essential
To bring lunch and non alcoholic drinks.
