A 5.5 circular walk from Hopesgate to Bromlow Callow, skirting Gorsty Bank, Rorrington Hill and Castle Ring.
A good all-rounder with mixed terrain, including open fields, hill climbs, woodland and sweeping views of the Shropshire Hills and their historic and industrial heritage.
Photographs taken on 11/01/25 (I cannot promise snow).
Our walk finishes near The Stables Inn, an old Drovers' Inn perched high in the Shropshire hills, which dates back to 1680. With a roaring fire and inherent charm, it is an essential port of call.
I plan to have a Sunday Roast here following the walk (menu linked above). Let me know if you would like to join me for food when signing up; I will take numbers and make a reservation accordingly.
