Walking in and around Shropshire
We are a friendly walking group, established in 2005 for younger people in the Shropshire area.
We have members ranging from their early 20s through to around 50 and have a walk on most weekends as well as week nights in the summer. These are led by our group volunteers in a range of locations, from rugged North Wales, the Welsh Marches and the rolling Shropshire Hills; offering a range of grading from leisurely strolls to more challenging mountain hikes. There really is something to suit everyone.
We also hold regular 'New Member Walks' for those joining us for the first time. These are typically shorter, more leisurely routes and are a great way to meet other new members and find out more about our group. So do come along to one of these, or indeed any walk you fancy; we would love to meet you!
Our walking community
In addition to all the fabulous walks we offer, we also run exciting weekends away to a range of locations in Shropshire, the Welsh hills and coast, Lake District and beyond. These often involve camping in the warmer months or hostel/bunkhouse style accommodation and are a real highlight of the year for our members.
Furthermore, we organise a variety of social events throughout the year, which may include meeting up for a meal, drinks in town, canoeing trips, climbing, film/theatre/comedy outings and much more.
These are generally reserved for members only, so do get in touch if you’re interested in joining us, or pop along to a walk and chat to our existing members or group organisational team for more info.
