We will walk to:
Ivinghoe Beacon, Bridgewater monument (stopping briefly for toilets at the NT visitor centre), Church farm cafe on the edge of Aldbury (where we will stop for a drink and toilets), Across Stocks golf club, stop for packed lunch on logs in woods at Aldbury Nowers nature reserve, walk on to Pitstone Hill, Pitstone windmill (one of the oldest post mills in the country, thought to date back to 1627), edge of Ivinghoe, past sheep (will there be lambs yet?), back up to the carpark.
Varied landscapes, many outstanding views, some are even panoramic!, quiet and very rural.
Plenty of gates, can't remember any stiles.
Well behaved dogs allowed. Will need to be on lead in some areas.
Route
Moderate, brisk, but stopping briefly at viewpoints to admire the landscapes. 400M ascent approx.
Plenty of hills, fairly steep in a few places, maybe some mud depending on recent weather.
