A clockwise loop from Ditchling ascending the South Downs via Westmeston Bostal (stiff ascent), along past Ditchling Beacon and Keymer Post with panoramic views across to the Weald and the sea. Descending at Clayton for a pub lunch at the Jack & Jill Inn, with the hill climbs and two-thirds of the walk already done, leaving a level and easier return leg via Keymer back to the start.
