Beginning our walk with a brief stroll around White Rock and the remains of the copper smelting works before heading towards Kilvey Hill. We partially ascend in the direction of the standing stone, just off the hill. From here there is some road walking on narrow lanes towards Crymlyn Bog (single file, dogs on leads) care needs to be taken as there are no pavements or grass verges.
After a snack stop and a circular walk around Crymlyn Bog, you'll see remains of anchorage points that barrage balloons were tethered to during WWII, we continue road walking toward the ascent of Kilvey Hill from the south side with views of Swansea Docks, Bay and Mumbles as we ascend (weather permitting)
Our return route will take in some of the more modern artistic additions to the Hill.
