Overview

Circular walk starting at Lauder Post Office, opposite the Black Bull Pub. Parking is on the high street and limited parking at the Market Place. There is also an option to do an additional 1.3 mile loop around Lauder Burn at the end of the walk making a total distance of 6.8 miles.

We walk through Lauder then take the track up the dismantled railway and turn towards Trabrown. Then towards Trabownhill Plantation and looping back via ScareLaw Hollow.

 We follow the path of Harry Burn back towards Lauder. Once back in Lauder there is an optional extra mile loop around Lauder Burn.

This is a fairly easy walk with mostly good paths. Some areas may be muddy and slippery if it’s been raining. Walking poles may be helpful.

 

Meet at MIBC at 9:30 am for car sharing or meet at Lauder Post Office at 10:00 am.
