Overview

This is a fairly flat walk starting from the Saltpans in Charlestown and taking in it's picturesque harbour before following a disused rail track and Lyne Burn (this section can be muddy) in a circuit which will lead us into Broomhall Estate. On leaving the estate we cross the A985 with a short section of pavement walking until we pick up a footpath into Bellknowes. We'll pass Douglas Bank Cemetery and cross back over the main road again to follow the footpath all the way into Limekilns with views of Rosyth and across to Blackness.

This is a good introductory walk if you're interested to join the ramblers as it will be led at a leisurely pace.
