Overview

via Clayton Church, then a steep climb to Clayton windmills (drink stop, The Coffee Mill). Continue along South Downs Way with far reaching views over the Weald to Ditchling Beacon (bus opt out to Brighton), Streat Hill (picnic lunch, poss. refreshments from The Pink Pitstop), and Blackcap. A rough downhill track at Offham leads to a path following River Ouse to Lewes.
