Overview

Starting from Littleborough station, heading east through woods, climbing steadily to meet the Pennine Bridleway. Then south on a gradual ascent to cross the M62 near Hollings Hill. Next a steep descent into a valley and pass under the M62 turning NW to Rakewood. Then clockwise around Hollingworth Lake and down to the Rochdale Canal returning on the towpath to the station.

Rough paths and uneven terrain. Muddy after rain. Cafe and toilets at Hollingworth Lake. A steady pace, a bit more than leisurely. Not suitable for dogs.
