Overview

The 08:28 train from Staines gets to Sanderstead at 10:15 for onward bus to Hamsey Green. Please meet at seating near platform 24 at Waterloo Station for the onward journey. On arrival we will have a coffee at a cafe in Hamsey Green. This 9 mile strenuous walk includes the highest point of the Loop at 580 feet.The morning is via Riddlesdown (steep descent), Kenley Aerodrome (steep ascent up 84 steps) and Old Coulsdon to the Fox pub for a pub/picnic lunch(much needed!!). After lunch we continue via Happy Valley, Farthing Downs, Coulsdon, Clock House and Mayfield Lavender Fields to The Oaks Park.  There is a cafe here if time allows. We catch a bus from The Oaks to Purley Station for the homeward journey.
