We are the High Weald Walkers Group. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The circular walk explores the country side to the east of Shipbourne, through the Fairlawne estate to Dunks Green, Plaxtol Spout, Old Soar Manor, up into Hurst Wood, Swanton Valley, Gover Hill and back to Shipbourne.
A moderate walk over meadows and fields with sturdy stiles, shady woodlands and along quiet country lanes, some overgrown path at the recce last Sunday. Two hills, overall ascent 827ft.
