We are the West Somerset Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Robbers Bridge to North Common. Along the ridge on the Coleridge Way to Oare then Cloud Farm, Along Badgworthy Water to the medieval village, possible site of the Doone's village, mentioned in RD Blackmore's Lorna Doone novel. Cross the footbridge and up to Tom's Hill. Then head towards Manor Allotment, South Common and Stowey Allotments to Oareford and back to CP
A walk with varied views of moorland, river, and places of historical and fictional interest.
May be muddy in places. There may be livestock in fields and on open moorland.
Robbers Bridge near Oareford. Take the A39 to Porlock Hill, then first left after Pitcombe Head marked as Oare Post on the map.
