Visit all 9 of the public accessible remaining Lovelace Bridges in the woods above the Horsleys. We also visit the sites of a further 3 of the original 15 bridges. Built by William King, 1st Lord Lovelace in the 1860s these bridges facilitated the extraction of timber from his estate.
A moderate walk of 6 ½ miles with an ascent/descent of approximately 850 ft. mostly through woodland with several steep ascents and descents. There are no stiles, mostly wide paths through the trees but one short adventure through the thicket and one busy road section. Bring your own drinks/snack for a coffee stop on the walk.
