We are the Guildford Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a terrific circular walk from near Tilford across Hankley and Thursley Commons, over Kettlebury Hill and around Frensham Great Pond and past Little Pond. It will take us across starkly beautiful moorland, and hills with sweeping views. The going is mostly sandy underfoot, so ideal for winter walking. There's hardly any road walking and no styles.
We will start from Stockbridge car park off Tilford Road, south of Tilford on the way to Rushmoor. Please bring coffee for your break and a picnic lunch. When I have recce'd the walk and decided whether to do this clockwise or anti-clockwise I may be able to add in a coffee stop at one of the ponds. I will include this information on the WhatsApp Group and GroupsIO message which I'll send a couple of days before the walk. The Barley Mow pub at Tilford will be a possibility at the end of the walk.
