Overview

This is a varied and interesting walk to the east of Ludlow towards the Clee Hills.

From the car park we join the Shropshire Way taking us up and over Caynham Camp Iron Age Hill Fort. Then after leaving the S W  the route takes us through Whitton old deer park gradually climbing up to and skirting the village of Knowbury before descending on the Old Shropshire Way.

At various points on the walk hopefully we will be rewarded with great views of our Shropshire Hills, the Malverns and beyond into Wales.

Hill climbing will be at a pace to suit all.

The terrain is mainly good farmland tracks and there is a small portion of road walking.

There are  stiles generally in good condition and please bring food and drink for a short elevenses stop and lunch break.

Sorry but no dogs are allowed on this walk.
