An excellent, easy-going walk with fabulous 360° views across open countryside. 2 inclines, one downwards on the outward leg, the other up (because what goes down must come up) and plenty of brambles, ankle-breaker rabbit holes and mud, glorious mud on the recce I did on 30th March. If there is less rain in the week preceding 18th April, there may be very little mud. I saw pheasants, skylarks, biplanes & helicopters and heard but didn’t see aeroplanes. A farmer in charge of the land approaching the end of the walk has ensured that every gate is completely surrounded by churned-up mud and the footpath allegedly 290yds from Mangrove Green has been made impassible, so I have amended the walk, which means a little more road-walking. We start and end at the King William IV pub (and hotel), where we may park if taking refreshment there after the walk. Please DON’T park on the road immediately leading to the pub as it is very narrow and leads to a dead end
