Overview

The walk starts from the centre of Marlborough and follows a quiet route up to the Common. We then walk along gallops to Rockley, where there is a short descent, which can be slippery when wet. A quiet lane leads to the downs and then a track to Ogbourne St. Andrew. After a brief visit to the interesting church, the route crosses fields to Ogbourne Maizey and then the Old Railway Path. We follow this back towards Marlborough, with a visit to Stonebridge Meadow and the River Kennet.
