Mells is widely considered one of the most beautiful villages in Somerset. We will walk onto Barrow Hill with lovely views. Walking mostly across fields and through woods, and alongside the Mells stream. Muddy and slippery in places, (walking poles recommended!), and several fallen trees to climb over.
Bring drinks and snacks as we will stop for a short break.
Optional drink at the Talbot Inn on our way back to the cars.
Occasionally a walker will have agreed with the leader they bring a dog on a Kingswood Ramblers walk – if you need to know if there will be a dog on this walk, please contact the leader to check.
Please consider if the M4 closure will affect your journey - the M4 will be closed between junction 19 (M32) and junction 18 (A46), as explained in the website link below. Motorway traffic will be diverted along the Avon Ring Road, the A420 through Wick, and the A46.
If you are delayed, please ring Lesley (07789 521696), let her know how long you think you will be, and the leaders can start a little bit later to allow for latecomers.
