This is a circular walk around the Meonstoke and Corhampton area, starting in Meonstoke, across open fields and along wooded paths. On a fine day there are views of Old Winchester Hill and, in the far distance, Beacon Hill. We return via the old railway line. There is only one stile, the rest having been replaced by kissing gates, and there is a small amount of quiet road walking.
We meet in the car park of the Bucks Head, Meonstoke, SO32 3NA, and the pub will be open from 10am for us to place our lunch orders and use the facilities. The pub is well known for its authentic Italian pizzas, cooked in an oven imported from Italy, but it does other food as well. Car sharing is advised as the car park is not huge.
** ~ Booking by 6pm Tuesday is essential and numbers on the walk will be limited. ~ **
