A walk around Mersea Island.  We will have a picnic lunch in West Mersea, walkers can grab takeaway food if they prefer.

Parts of the sea wall are challenging so make sure you have proper walking boots/shoes.  Ordinary trainers or shoes are not suitable for parts of this walk.

Bring adequate water as there are long stretches without shade or access to shops.

There is an option to have a post walk drink at the Dog and Pheasant Pub on the way home.

Cudmore Grove Country Park car park which has parking for £6.30 for the day. Note the sign for the park on the turn into Broman's Lane is currently missing. Car sharers can easily use the laybys just past the turn for East Mersea from The Strood.
