Overview

This is a strenuous walk up a well known Snowdonian mountain with good views over the surrounding mountains & valleys. From car park there is a gradual ascent to the West before the gradient increases  to ascend the NE side of the mountain with some area of scree about 2/3rds of the way up. If clear the views are excellent from the trig point at 782 mts & after lunch there is a sharpish NW descent to Bwlch Meillionen. Then a descent over uneven ground below the spectacular cliffs of Moel Ogof takes the route into coniferous woodland. The descent here is uneven & boggy in places but soon reaches better forestry tracks & paths back to Beddgelert.
