A walk across fields from the Old Crown Ashton to Roade, through the village and then mainly edge of fields towards Courteenhall before veering east towards the M1. Heading south we pass through an array of windfarms towards Hartwell before which we turn off alongside Rowley Wood and head north again before turning west back towards Ashton and lunch at the Old Crown
Some of the paths across fields may be muddy especially after rain but there are only two stiles. A little road walking towards the end of the route and four roads to cross. Assistance dogs only. Parking is available in the car park of the Old Crown but only for those using the pub afterwards. For those who have booked, the Christmas meal will be served at about 12.45 for 13.00 but other refreshments are available and can be pre-ordered for anyone not having a Christmas meal. Please check that the road into Ashton from Roade is not closed before setting off.
