Morpeth to Bothal Castle

Start at the car park at the end of Gas House Lane, Morpeth.

We cross the river and continue East following the course of the river on the south side through the wood, heading to Parkhouse Banks, we then follow the river once more to Bothal Castle, returning back to Morpeth on the north side of the river through Chapel Wood.

Terrain: woodland/riverside paths (muddy in parts, however depending on temperature could be ice) couple of steady inclines, some steps on the woods. Small amount of road walking, one busy road to cross with care.

There will be a coffee stop en route.
