An undulating circular meander in delightful rural countryside. Mainly across fields, farm tracks, a couple of wooded sections and a very short stretch on a quiet road. We head-out west for a steady ascent of Milk Hill and Mucklewick Hill which should reward us with splendid views, spring lambs and perhaps a Red Kite or two. We then track towards Flenny Bank, Shelve Wood and Pennerly before returning to The Bog. Numerous stiles.
It is quite exposed in areas so a good windproof layer is a must. Some of the fields are a bit soggy in places too. Walking Poles will be of benefit for some. There is a prize for the first walker who identifies the location of the marker post in the walk description photo!
Zone D.
The walk leader will meet you at the starting point – The Bog Mine car park.
